Hayley and Paddy – Carton House Wedding

Feedback

October 29, 2021 by Kevin Morris

Sometimes you have days when everything falls perfectly into place. From the moment I met Hayley and Paddy we just clicked and throughout the day we had some great laughs which made the photos so much easier. They definitely wanted a more relaxed vibe but of course, with the backdrop of Carton House we made sure to get a few fab couple shots. I was well chuffed to receive a wonderful email from Hayley after she received her photos – makes everything worthwhile 🙂

What a wonderful way to start getting back into weddings. Kate & Darren had their intimate celebration at Kilshane House, the weather behaved and we actually had the ceremony down by the lakeshide in the boathouse followed by drinks in the courtyard a the front of the house. I was welcomed with open arms (virtual !!) and really felt part of the day from start to finish. I was delighted when I received some lovely feedback from them both :

“Kevin was the photographer for our wedding in Kilshane House this summer and he was absolutely brilliant. He was so lovely and fun to work with. He was able to blend into the background and capture everybody so beautifully. We have so many candid pictures that we absolutely love. Kevin also took amazing posed pictures and made us feel so relaxed during the process. We have such a lovely mix of posed and candid pictures, our biggest issue is now choosing which ones to add to our album!!! The initial presentation of the photographs was also really lovely. We received a wooden box with ~100 chosen snaps and a matching USB with >1000 other pictures. I would absolutely recommend him to anybody!”

With the current restrictions most weddings these days are smaller, intimate celebrations but no less wonderful. When you have the right venue, good weather and a fab couple it’s amazing what you can achieve in 2 hours.

“Hi Kevin,
We had a look at the photos last night, we absolutely love them!
They are exactly what we wanted, nice and relaxed. The photos taken during the ceremony, we didn’t even notice you and we were delighted to relive it all again ?
The outdoor shots of myself and Niall up the walkway between the trees are amazing!
Thank you one again very much for taking us on such short notice, we really appreciate it. I will defo be recommending you to everyone! Hopefully you have lots more weddings to shoot over the coming months ?
Thanks such
Sarah & Niall “

In the current climate it was lovely to receive a card from Christina & Christopher thanking me for their photos (again!) and also sharing their wonderful news.

“Thank you so much for capturing our wedding day so beautifully last year ! We are so grateful to have had our special day surrounded by our friends & family & having all those beautiful photos to capture the memories is extremely special to us”

This was a match made in heaven as my style of relaxed and contemporary shooting tied in perfectly with their personalities and what they wanted to get out of the day.

I was so looking forward to Siobhan & Frankies wedding. Shooting at Lough Rynn in the Autumn is a photographers dream, and Siobhan & Frankie were so easy to deal with and their vision for photography was the same as mine, relaxed, stress free and leave plenty of time for mingling. With lots of people in common (thanks to Confey GAA club) and previous couples in both bridal parties I felt at home straight away. The day flew by, a couple of showers reared their head but we still got out & about in the stunning grounds of Lough Rynn, back for a few family shots and still plenty of time for mingling with guests. A wonderful day spent in the company of a wonderful and welcoming couple as well as the slightly mad bridesmaids !!! Great fun made even better when I heard back from the happy couple :

Hi Kevin
Just a note to say we received our wedding photos and we love them, thank you very much. Love the attention to detail and love how all of our own couple shots and family photos turned out too. We will have a job picking our favourites !! Absolutely delighted with them so thank you for your hard work and efforts.
Kind Regards
Siobhán & Frankie
