Samantha & Barry – Mount Juliet

Feedback

March 13, 2017 by Kevin Morris

From an epic engagement shoot through to the dancing, Sam & Barrys wedding went like a dream. A nice relaxed atmosphere from start to finish and, to top it all off, some lovely words after the happy couple received their photos.

We can’t tell you how pleased we were with our own photos. You helped make the day the most memorable day of our lives. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience with your help. You will be happy to know we spent a number of weeks after we received them showing them off and raving to whoever would listen as to how happy we were with them. Thank you.

Having shot Anne-Maries sisters wedding, and having spent many happy summers on Achill this was a wedding I was really looking forward to and it didn’t disappoint. I spent the weekend in Ostan Oilean Acla on Achill Sound and the hearty breakfast set me up perfectly for the day. Despite pliers being needed for the final dress adjustment, horizontal rain (Achill is famed for four seasons in an hour…not a day….an hour !!) and a few kamakazi sheep the craic & laughs were flying, all helped by the Dublin / Mayo banter (All Ireland Final looming) – the whole wedding was nicely rounded off when I received this lovely message from Anne-Marie and Stephen.

“Hi Kevin, the photos landed safe and sound on Friday. We both can’t get over how AMAZING they turned out. With the weather being so bad we were a little anxious on how many we would have. All we can say is you’re truly are a magician with a camera ? We really are so glad to have made the 10 minute dash outside between rain showers to take some pics. They are unbelievable, you really wouldn’t think it was the same day! We are delighted to have these photos to relive our special day and share with our family and friends. We cannot thank you enough for everything you did for us on the day and the producing these amazing pictures. We’ll have no problem recommending you to anyone looking for a photographer for their special day. Warmest regards Anne-Marie & Stephen O’Malley“

During the summer I had the privilege to shoot the wedding of Aimee & Thomas. From the moment I arrived till I left during the dancing, I was made feel so much at home and welcome, which made my job so much easier. Add in an incredibly relaxed couple, slightly mad bridesmaids, and a great venue….even the swarms of midges couldn’t pt a damper on things. I was so delighted to receive this lovely feedback from Aimee & Thomas ” We are truly overjoyed with our photos! They completely exceed expectations .They capture the whole day in a beautifully natural way and really enable people’s personalities and emotions to shine through. A tear or two was shed watching the slideshow for the first time! We cannot thank you enough Kevin! You were amazing on the day; extremely efficient and professional but so relaxed and easy to get on with. Not a minute of time wasted! Then the end product just re-emphasised that we were sooo lucky to have you ! Hope nobody ponders over booking you because they would miss out big time!! We’ll be in contact in the new year re an album. Warm wishes, Aimee and Tom”

“Dublin can be heaven with a wedding at eleven and a stroll through Stephens Green” – okay – may be the wedding wasn’t quite eleven but we did stroll through Stephens Green and it was heaven for Phil & Chris who couldn’t contain their happiness as they tied the knot in the city registry office. The smiles were infectious and after a quick couple of hours I headed off with a skip in my step. All was made even better when I received a lovely message from the happy couple ” Hi Kevin. We are so absolutely trilled with the quality of your work. The photo presentation box is just beautiful. Some fantastic shots. The movie brought a tear to our eyes. Such a special and emotional day. You are so relaxed in your approach and we felt so comfortable. We will highly recommend you to our friends and family. Thanks again. Phil & Chris.

With the fab surroundings & the friendly staff the Stephouse Hotel in Borris is one of my favourite spots. I was extra spoiled with Sinead, David and their families being so friendly & welcoming, along with the preparations being held in the Lorum Old Rectory (my first visit there), with lots of tears, lots of laughs, drinks in the patio garden, Game of Thrones & mini hurleys, this wedding had a bit of everything !!!! Especially nice was the feedback & thank you note received from Sinead & David.

“Dear Kevin, thank you so much for the wonderful photos of our wedding day. We are beyond happy with them. Thank you for all you did for us on the day. You are truly excellent at your job and we can’t recommend you enough. Thank you again, Sinead & David Leddy XXX”

Sometimes things just fall nicely into place, I had met Fiona & Gary on the run u to the wedding and we clicked straight away, add in a warm welcome on the day, the rain stopping for the afternoon, singing waiters, throw in a cute dog and a disney theme and wrap it up in the fab surroundings of Moyvalley / Balyna House and it was hard to go wrong. Delighted that Fiona & Gary were so happy with their photos :

Hi Kevin

Wow! Thank you so much for the beautiful photos you took. The presentation box and USB were such a nice touch.

I love the photos,  they really captured the love and laughter on the day, they are so expressive. Some of the candid ones are my favourites,  you caught so many moments that I missed on the day. You also caught some lovely moments between myself and Gary and our families.  I’m so happy with them.

You were a pleasure to deal with in the run up to the wedding and especially on the day you were so relaxed and didn’t have us on a clock like I’ve known some photographers to do.

The slideshow was an unexpected addition and I love it thanks so much. Can’t wait to annoy all my friends now and show them and can’t wait to start working on the album.

Thanks so much for your time, your creative eye and your warmth on the day. I would be happy to recommend you to any bride and groom.
