Sometimes everything just falls into place nicely, beautiful dress, stunning bride and lovely window light all came together nicely to help create this fab image of Sarah on her wedding day.

Sometimes you get spoiled shooting weddings, this was the case for Jessica & Gearoids big day atΒ the Village at Lyons. The weather forecast was poor, but it cleared up nicely, the venue, as I knew from previous visits, is one big fantastic photo op., and the couple, their family & friends were so friendly, relaxed & welcoming it all added up to the perfect storm for weddings. The day, although a long one, was so much fun to shoot. The couple both got ready at the venue, wonderful roomy houses by the lake, the ceremony was held in the stunning reception room with the noise from the waterfall in the background and then the drinks in the courtyard with what must be the only toilet trained Doves in Dublin. I only have a few images below, but hopefully they will give you an idea of the day. I’m currently taking bookings for 2018 & have some availability remaining for 2017 so feel free to get in touch π

If Carlsberg did weddings …….. Had the pleasure of heading down to Barntown Church in Wexford for the recent wedding of Samantha and Barry. Not only was I familiar with Barntwon, but I had photographed Barrys brothers wedding, and had photographed Samanthas sisters wedding so was familiar with both sets of families. I was also working with videographer Martin Healy (myweddinginHD.ie) with whom I shared a stage, albeit in different bands, back in the late eighties. The day had it all, a few drops of rain, missing trousers, belly laughs, tears and the stunning grounds of Mount Juliet (my one first for the day !!). It was a long day but the warmth & friendliness of Samantha, Barry & their families & friends meant it passed very quickly, add in an appearance from the singing waiters and an epic speech from Samanthas Dad, and it really was one of those days where everything came together. Hope you enjoy the few pics below.Β I’m currently taking bookings for 2018 & have some availability remaining for 2017 so feel free to get in touch π

Rarely do I get a chance to do local weddings, so, it was a pleasure to be asked to cover Heather & Davids wedding. Not only was the church 5 mins drive away from my home, but the reception was in the fab Bellingham Castle where I love shooting. We popped out to Tower Bay (another haunt of mine) for a couple of photos before we headed up the motorway to Bellingham. sadly, their VW had an “issue” and they had to flag down friends for a lift to get to the hotel !!! It all added up to the fun of the day. The sun shone and everyone enjoyed the stunning surroundings of the castle, and their fab beer garden. Hopefully my photos capture the moments of a very enjoyable day. I’m currently taking bookings for 2018 & have some availability remaining for 2017 so feel free to get in touch π

Spent a lovely couple of hours with Chris & Phil as they officially tied the knot in Dublins Registry office at the end of July. The weather stared off a bit wet as we left Brooks Hotel, but the rain lifted as we reached Stephens Green and headed on through Merrion Square and on to the registry office. It was a simple, informal but a very meaningful celebration and the happiness was infectious. I left before lunch with a huge smile on my face. ready to take on the weekend !! I had photographed the wedding of Grainnes sister, Yvonne a couple of years ago and when I arrived for the preps my photos were all over the walls !!! So, although I was delighted to see them, I also felt a wave of pressure to deliver !! I needn’t have worried as I was made feel at home from I walked in the door, and, with all of Grainne & Johns planning the small details were all laid out and beautifully presented. The wedding lent itself to its location n Wrights Anglers rest, intimate with a bit of a shabby chic feeling to it. The “goodie” table was laid out with all sorts of cakes, biscuits and sweet things, so much so that the guests were afraid to eat them, which was a result for me as I bagged me a few treats (with permission) for the trip home.
I was delighted to hear back from Grainne & John this morning :
