It had been quite a few years since I shot at the Millhouse in Slane so was delighted when I was asked to shoot the wedding of Tracey & Charles there back in March. The day was full of those little touches and personal bits & pieces all planned from Australia and coming together perfectly on the other side of the world with little or no fuss and a totally relaxed & informal atmosphere. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday (despite the clocks going forward the previous night !!). Have a look yourself at some of the images which are presently winging their way over to Australia. Jenny had been a bridesmaid at a wedding I shot in 2011 so I was delighted that 5 years later she contacted me about shooting her & Ronans wedding. The brief was simple, minimal time posing, maximum time mingling. with such a relaxed & friendly couple, along with slightly mad guests that was never going to be a problem, and we had the backdrop of Bellinter House to work with. The sun shone, the day flew by and before we knew it it was time for the first dance. It is always a pleasure to shoot someones wedding, but there are days when everything just falls perfectly into place – this was one of those. To top it all off I received a lovely thank you note from Jenny & Ronan and I was delighted to hear how happy they were with their photos. Hopefully the few images below will give you an idea of the day.

My last wedding of 2016 brought me back to Lough Rynn for the wedding of Emma & Raymond. It’s well worth the long drive as the surroundings & staff are second to none – always an enjoyable time there and when added to the laid back & relaaxed attitude of Emma & Raymond it was a lovely way to wrap up the year. we were treated to some stunning winter sunshine as the sun set over the lake, hope you enjoy the pics below.

So excited to be sharing this wedding on the blog. Siobhan & Kerril had one of those days where everything fell nicely into place. The fab Lyrath Estate was the venue, the weather behaved and when I arrived I was delighted to meet both Leanne from Vow to Wow hairstylist & Dawn from Glamour by Dawn (the local dream team !!) so I knew the girls would be in safe hands. Both Siobhan & Kerril were so great to work with, no fuss, laid back and most importantly – ready to kiss on command !!! I really enjoyed being part of their big day and was delighted with how the final photos turned out with one of them winning an award with the IPPA / Bank of Ireland photographer of the yer 2017. My brief for Aisling & Marks wedding was simple – lots of unposed shots of friends & family enjoying themselves – suited my style perfectly. Such a relaxed & friendly couple to work with made the day even better and, despite the weather being a shocker on the day, everyone had a great time and the staff at Glasson were as helpful as always. A surprise addition of a singing waiter kept the day buzzing along till everyone hit the dancefloor with gusto. Was a privilege to be part of this great day 🙂
