Had a wonderful day in Castle Durrow shooting Helena & Joes wedding – even better to receive some lovely kind words :

He captured so many lovely moments throughout the day and slotted seamlessly into the background, to the point were I actually couldn’t remember where he was during the ceremony. It was only when I saw the amazing photos that I realised that he had a birds eye view and caught so many of the candid moments. He put us all at ease and was great to have around on the day.”

I had actually shot Joes brothers wedding a few years ago, and am in fact shooting Helenas sisters wedding in 2023 so I must be doing something right !!!

I have been doing this a long time and I think Ailish must have been the “smiliest” bride I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.

From the start in Frans house, right through to the dancing this was a wonderful day to be part of, relaxed, fun and constant smiles, a dream for any wedding photographer. Check out the photos below and try not smile along !

2021 was a strange year, a bit of a stop start for weddings and really tough for couples to try and plan anything concrete.

I was so lucky to be involved in all sorts of weddings, from low numbers to nearly “normal” numbers and up and down the roads of Ireland. All these days proved one thing, that whatever the numbers, whatever the circumstances, once a couple decide to take the plunge the day is always so very special. Love conquers all.

Check out a few images from 2021 weddings, I still shoot in the same relaxed style, natural photos capturing the little moments as well as stunning couple shots.

I was delighted to be asked to shoot Therese & Robs wedding next year in Horetown House and really excited to be asked to do an engagement shoot down in Carrigfoyle Quarry, a spot I had never visited.Having photographed the weddings of both of Robs sisters we had met before and they knew my style but it was fun to meet up for an enjoyable and relaxed walk, with a few photos thrown in !!!

Sometimes you have days when everything falls perfectly into place. From the moment I met Hayley and Paddy we just clicked and throughout the day we had some great laughs which made the photos so much easier. They definitely wanted a more relaxed vibe but of course, with the backdrop of Carton House we made sure to get a few fab couple shots. I was well chuffed to receive a wonderful email from Hayley after she received her photos – makes everything worthwhile 🙂

What a wonderful way to start getting back into weddings. Kate & Darren had their intimate celebration at Kilshane House, the weather behaved and we actually had the ceremony down by the lakeshide in the boathouse followed by drinks in the courtyard a the front of the house. I was welcomed with open arms (virtual !!) and really felt part of the day from start to finish. I was delighted when I received some lovely feedback from them both :

“Kevin was the photographer for our wedding in Kilshane House this summer and he was absolutely brilliant. He was so lovely and fun to work with. He was able to blend into the background and capture everybody so beautifully.We have so many candid pictures that we absolutely love. Kevin also took amazing posed pictures and made us feel so relaxed during the process. We have such a lovely mix of posed and candid pictures, our biggest issue is now choosing which ones to add to our album!!! The initial presentation of the photographs was also really lovely. We received a wooden box with ~100 chosen snaps and a matching USB with >1000 other pictures. I would absolutely recommend him to anybody!”
