I was so looking forward to Siobhan & Frankies wedding. Shooting at Lough Rynn in the Autumn is a photographers dream, and Siobhan & Frankie were so easy to deal with and their vision for photography was the same as mine, relaxed, stress free and leave plenty of time for mingling. With lots of people in common (thanks to Confey GAA club) and previous couples in both bridal parties I felt at home straight away. The day flew by, a couple of showers reared their head but we still got out & about in the stunning grounds of Lough Rynn, back for a few family shots and still plenty of time for mingling with guests. A wonderful day spent in the company of a wonderful and welcoming couple as well as the slightly mad bridesmaids !!! Great fun made even better when I heard back from the happy couple :

One from the archives, but one that stays in the memory is Jane & Barrys big day at Horetown House. Such a happy wonderful day filled with laughter, tears and fabulous personal touches designed by the very talented Jane. From the vintage 20’s wedding dress, through to the stunning table plan it really was a photographers dream, add in one of my favourite venues, Horetown House, a warm welcome and neverending smiles and it really was a bit of a Carlsberg moment ! Hopefully the images below will give you a flavour of the day.
With the current crisis dominating all our newsfeeds, I thought it would be nice to share a bit of love, and one of the happiest, “smiliest” weddings I shot last year. Christina & Christopher got married in Sligo, with a quick stop in Sligo IT, followed by Rosses Point Beach before we arrived back at the Radisson Blu, and the party rocked on into the night. With such a warm & welcoming couple and working alongside Pink Lime Studios for video the day went like a dream from start to finish. The beautiful scenery of the Sligo coast was the perfect backdrop for some stunning photos, and with Scruffy Duffy on entertainment and Harlequin providing the music the day moved from fun & chilled to chaos and laughter on the dance floor. What a wonderful day to be part of !
Was also thrilled to hear back from Christina & Christopher when they received their photos.
Morning Kevin,
Just wanted to say thank you so much for the wedding pics I got them yesterday. It was a late night last night going through them all and we absolutely loved them and the box they came in is just beautiful and something we will always have. Do not know how we are going to pick which ones to frame and which ones to use for the thank you cards I keep thinking I have found my favourite of ours and then I come across another.
Thanks so much for capturing our special day you snapped away in the background and we never even noticed you were there you did exactly what I wanted natural unposed shots of our natural unpolished selves
Thanks again for everything!!!
Warmest regards
Christina and Christopher Xxx
How will your other half be while waiting for you at the top of the aisle ?
Will they be as cool as a cucumber, giddy, a bag of nerves or in floods of tears ??
Here are just a small selection of the different emotions felt at the top of the aisle !!
Living in Ireland we are blessed with the stunning scenery that surrounds us.
It’s brilliant when shooting a wedding that we get a chance to incorporate it into our images and create a stunning photo to last a lifetime (or just to hang on your wall !!:))
We were up at Rosses Point in Co Sligo when me captured this shot of Christina & Christopher silhouetted by the shimmering Atlantic Ocean and rolling hills.
One of my favourite images from 2019.
If you want a stress free and relaxed photographer, with an eye for stunning images why not get in contact to check availability.
I love Mayo weddings !! I was thrilled when Julie & Mattie asked me to photograph their big day, starting in Knock and heading off to the Diamond Coast in Enniscrone. I had met them them at a couple of weddings previously, and in fact, I felt right at home as there were three couples as guests whose weddings I had previously shot, as well as another couple whose big day I am shooting this year. Although Julie and the girls looked stunning, Mattie & the boys scrubbed up well and the light was fantastic in Belleek Woods the real star of the show was Ollie, who was so excited that his mam & dad were tying the knot, just look at his face and thumbs up after they said “I Do” ! It was an immense day, welcoming families, great company, fab weather and a stunning selection of photos – all captured without fuss or stress and with a genuinely natural feel about them.
I love Mayo weddings…..if only they were closer !!:)
