Last autumn I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Sharon & Pauls wedding at the stunning Kilshane House, Tipperary. It really is a wonderful time to shoot there and the weather played it’s part, clear & sunny day lighting up the wonderful autumn tones in the trees. Throw in a relaxed couple with little or no demands and a clear night so we could get a few outside shots before the dancing and overall it was a fab day. What a summer it was, I was so lucky with the happy, fun and relaxed weddings I covered. Always lots of smiles and laughs, topped off with memorable photos of the big day. Jacinta & Joes big day was no exception. They traveled home from Australia to celebrate their day in Banagher and then on to Birr. A quick stop in to the family pub where Jacintha & Joe pulled a few pints and on to blue skies and sunshine in the County Arms Hotel. Lots of laughs, lots of fun, lots of relaxed and informal photos in the lovely grounds and still plenty of time for Jacintha & Joe to mingle with their friends. We even had a few mins to pop outside that night for a few quick photos in the fairy lights & moonlight. If Carlsberg did weddings !!…….
Delighted to be announced as a finalist in the IPPA / Bank of Ireland Professional Photographer of the year 2017.
These awards are voted on by our peers so it makes them very special and although I have no ideas of winning, it’s fantastic to be involved and included among so many talented craftspersons. See attached for my final panel of images that made the cut and a big thanks to all the couples who put their trust in me to capture their day.
My brief for Aisling & Marks wedding was simple – lots of unposed shots of friends & family enjoying themselves – suited my style perfectly. Such a relaxed & friendly couple to work with made the day even better and, despite the weather being a shocker on the day, everyone had a great time and the staff at Glasson were as helpful as always. A surprise addition of a singing waiter kept the day buzzing along till everyone hit the dancefloor with gusto. Was a privilege to be part of this great day 🙂
Delighted that, in the final heat of the IPPA photographer of the year, I received eight awards, six “Highly Commended” and two hard to achieve “Merits”. These images are judged by my fellow peers and professionals so it means a lot to receive any awards, let alone eight !
Just received notification that a number of my images have been awarded “highly commended” in the heats for the IPPA Professional Photographer of the year awards – always great to get recognition from your peers.
