It was fitting to spend Halloween in a haunted csatle – Kinnitty to be exact, shooting the wedding of Linda & Connor. Unfortunately the weather didn’t play ball and, from early morning to late evening the rain fell with style !! This didn’t dampen the spirits for Linda, Connor, their family & guests however, as big open fireplaces and the warm & cosy interior of the castle ensured that everyone had a great time.
Despite what Alanis Morrissette might say, rain on your wedding day is not ironic, after all, this is Ireland and rain on any day, even mid August, is a possibility. Luckily most hotels and wedding venues are fully aware of this and have some nice indoor spots should the child of Prague not do its job. Here is a shot from a recent wedding where the rain never stopped or eased off till the start of the meal. I took the b&g to a stunning candlelight staircase and we managed to bag this shot.
