It’s always great to get relatively local weddings, not only does it relieve time pressures but it usually means that there are no need for directions. Jennifer & Dara got married in Skerrries where I (mis) spent much of my youth, and then on to Knightsbrook in Trim where I covered a couple of weddings previously. Although the day was dry, it was bitterly cold and an icy wind cut through us while grabbing a few shots around Red Island. If you add up the fact that the wedding was local, the weather was dry, the bridesmaids liked my aftershave, the priest wore a Harry Potter cape, the lads wore white trainers and my brief was to keep posed shots to a minimum – I couldn’t go wrong.
