Amy & Richelle at the Village Barn

lgbt wedding

January 3, 2024 by Kevin Morris

What a wonderful day spent with such a lovely couple, topped off with being back at the Village Barn, one of the more unique venues in Ireland for weddings. Two fab brides, friendly and welcoming families and friends, relaxing and fun vibe all wrapped up in a quirky alternative venue – what more could you ask for ? How about a really nice review ??

“Kevin was a pleasure to deal with right from the beginning. We wanted our day to be as relaxed and stress free as possible and Kevin managed to fit in seamlessly. He managed to capture the essence of our day perfectly all while being invisible! (Even when being attacked by a swarm of bees) We are still in awe of the finished photos and also still scratching our heads wondering how he managed to take some of the photos with no one knowing he was around. A true professional and amazing artist”

Last October I had the privilege to shoot Mary and Lornas city centre wedding. This was a day so full of love, fun and those little touches to make the day truly unique. From the hand made table settings that Lorna made herself, to the open top cadillac ride through the centre of Dublin it was a blast of a day to document. We started the day in the Spencer Hotel, then we made our way up to the City Hall, one of my favourite wedding spots. After the ceremony and a few family photos we headed off to Merrion Square where the autumn colours made a beautiful backdrop for the stunning couple. We walked up towards the canal before heading back to Nolita for a few celebratory drinks, then we took another short walk along to Fallon & Byrne which had been beautifully decorated by the girls. Not only did I have a wonderful time in the company of fantastic people, but with all that walking around the city I also got my 10,000 steps in  – a win win !!!! Hopefully you will enjoy the few images from the day below.
