Ruth and Craig – Darver Castle Wedding

wedding reportage

August 6, 2019 by Kevin Morris

I was so looking forward to Ruth & Craigs wedding. I had met Ruth a number of times over the years at various functions and was delighted when she asked me to photograph their wedding. It all fell so nicely into place with Ruths preps taking place in the newly refurbished Shoreline Hotel, just 5 mins from my house. I was to meet Criag in Darver Castle where the ceremony & reception were being held – one of my favourite venues in the country. The weather played ball, everyone was in great form and the party kicked off even before the meal was served with Tropical Storm leading a huge sing song. I have so many photos I love from the day, the selection below is just a small sample which hopefully gets across the atmosphere of the day.

Sometimes a few lines are all that are needed.

“Hi Kevin, we got our photos, they are absolutely beautiful, thank you so much…Lyndsey & Jonathan”

I shot Lyndsey & Jonathans wedding in the fab bridge House Hotel in Tullamore. We even had time for a little visit to the Tullamore Dew factory for a few bride & groom shots. From the outside they wanted informal and relaxed photos, with plenty of time to spend with their guests. Luckily, this is how we approach all weddings. Minimum fuss, minimum stress but with no compromise on the quality of the final images. From those little unseen moments to the memorable shots with the wow factor, we do our best to cover it all in an unobtrusive and relaxed manner. Despite how happy we are with the final images, it’s always a relief when we hear back from happy couples !

Hot off shooting Angela & Joes wedding down in Athlone, I was thrilled that they took the time to leave a review when the partying subsided.

We are so happy that we chose Kevin as our photographer! He slotted into our morning prep with ease (it was like he wasn’t even there!) but at the same time, he was great craic! The pictures are stunning-his photographer eye sought out some great places to take amazing shots! Can’t thank him enough for making the memories from our special day look so good! Angela and Joe xx

Although we offer a range of digital packages along with album packages, we would always encourage couples to consider investing in a wedding album. Your photos come alive when printed, and when designed properly gives a beautiful timeline from start to finish of the day. If you have chosen a digital package from us, you are under no obligation to order an album, but if you choose to do so, it can be ordered at any stage after the wedding. A very popular time for ordering albums is around 10 months after the wedding day so you have it for your first anniversary, but we have printed albums for couples 4 years after their wedding day.

Our most recent album was packaged and sent down to sunny Wexford to Susan & Kevin and they took the time to let us know how they felt :

Hi Kevin,

We received the album today and absolutely love it! Thanks so much. We are so impressed with the quality of the photos and it really tells the story of the day.
We’re on the road to Mayo now and can’t wait to show it to them all there!
Thanks again,
Susan and Kevin

Last autumn I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Sharon & Pauls wedding at the stunning Kilshane House, Tipperary. It really is a wonderful time to shoot there and the weather played it’s part, clear & sunny day lighting up the wonderful autumn tones in the trees. Throw in a relaxed couple with little or no demands and a clear night so we could get a few outside shots before the dancing and overall it was a fab day. Have a look at the photos below to get an idea.

Lovely email received from Martina & Steve whose wedding I shot in the fab Ashley Park House.

Anyway, we would like to thank you so much and let you know how really pleased we were with your professionalism on the day of our wedding and the finished product of our wedding photos. You captured the essence of the day throughout and love all the candid shots of us and our guests which we’ve enjoyed sharing with them. We’re not a couple who love being in front of the lens and you put us both at ease. It’s so special for us to have these as it brings us vividly back to the day and we get to re-live it over and over again & hopefully for years to come.  We would highly recommend you.
